The Welch (W.Va.) Daily News on Saturday, July 15, carried a picture of Judge Ira J. Partlow, announcing his appointment of judge of the Circuit Court of McDowell County.
In this article Governor Patteson congratulated the people of McDowell county in having such a man as Judge Partlow for their judge.
Judge Partlow recently visited his sister, Mrs. D. C. Updike, in Washington.
Judge Partlow was appointed by Governor Okey L. Patteson to the bffice of Judge of Circuit Court of McDowell county, December 1, 1949. f’rior to that time Judge Partlow had served in the attorney general's office and as Attorney General of West Virginia, from March 4, 1933 to November 30, 1949.
