The beetles are surely here. They hang in clusters on shrubs and trees; they leave the grapevines with leaves of veins, and they swarm along the road and pepper the car as you drive into them.
There is still one consolation: you don’t have to stand them. Give 'em a drink. It’s hot weather, be thoughtful of the little green bugs; a mixture of DDT is "good for what ails ’em."
