The United Wool Growers Cooperative Inc., of Harrisonburg, of which most Rappahannock sheepmen are members, will hold dedication ceremonies of the i r new warehouse at noon Thursday July 27 in Harrisonburg. A number of local farmers are expected to attend.

Several Rappahannock farmers missed getting to the Orange Ram Sale on time. The Winchester Ram Sale will start promptly at 1 p.m. While there will be 18 Hampshiies, 11 Shropshires, and $ Southdowns offered. It doesn't take long to sell them, so if you are planning to make a purchase, better get there on time. " T~

C. R. Willey, Associate Entomologist of the State Department has advised they will spray Sperryville for Japanese Beetle Control in the near future. Beetles were observed on a peach tree just below Mrs. Virginia Lewis' home in clusters as large as a tennis ball. Mr. Willey advises they will release more parasites, fTijfcty Vernalis) next spring. Several colonies of these wasps were released last year and have been observed in the Rockbottom and Amissville sections just recently.

Free Movie Passes For
A Dozen Children
Collect your dozen children and get down to Pitts Theatre in Culpeper on Tuesday or Wednesday, July 25 - 26, and the manager will hand you passes for yourself and all the family. "The movie is the now famous story of the Gilbreaths, “Cheaper By The Dozen.”
How many candidates for free tickets are unknown. One lady was heard to say that she had known many a day when her three children sounded like a dozen with all the noise they made. Surely someone in Rappahannock will show up with the family of twelve and claim the free tickets to th* movies.
It seems possible that any family having a dozen children could find material for a book, but when father is an efficiency expert, the instruction and rearing of the dozen surely should furnish rare entainnient.
