Mrs. William Edward Hopkins, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore a dress of orchid organdy over taffeta, fashioned with a scalloped bertha, a fitted bodice, and a full skirt formed of three tiers of ruffles. The bridesmaids, wfhosV dresses were identical in design with that of the matron of honor, were Miss Margaret Jessup of South Hill, and Mrs. John H. B. Williams of Bloomfield, New Jersey, in green organdy; Miss Martha Ann Main of Roanoke, and Mrs. Richard Blasser of South Boston, in yellow organdy. The five attendants, wore large picture hats and scalloped mitts and carried white reed bask* ets filled with garden flowers in matching pastel shades.
Master John Maurice O’Bannon, nephew of the bride, served «sring bearer, and Mac D. Williams, of Richmond, was best man. The groomsmen were Leonard Pankey, ■> brother of the groom, -of York* town; Powhatan -Cox, of Gordonsvilie; and Walton Connelly and Burrell Lucas, both of Roanoke.
Mrs. Rudasill wore a floor-length gown of dark blue lace over taffeta with a flower hat and white gloves. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds.
Miss Margaret Ann Carter, of Ridgeway, sang “Because,” and “I Love Thee” just before the ceremony, and Howard Sorrell of Washington, D. C., sang “The Lord’s Prayer” at its conclusion. The wedding music was played by Miss Dorothy Wainwright of Blackstone.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at “Llisadur," home of the bride’s mother, near Wood vilie, after which the couple left for a southern wedding trip. The bride wore for traveling a suit of blue linen with matching accessories and a white orchid corsage.
Upon their return the couple will make their home in Louisville, Kentucky, where the groom is a student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
