PFC. WRIGHT IN KOREA
Pfc. David Wright, who enlisted * year ago in the army, is now in Korea, according to a report sent his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Wright, last week. He told his parents that he was awaiting orders to go to the front.
Wright received his basic training at Fort Benning, Ga.
CAMPERS TAKE HONORS
Pete Estes carried off top honors last week at Powell Fort Valley 4-H camp by being elected Big Chief. Carlyle Lea presided over the Huron Indians’ pow-wow •s one of the three lesser chiefs, each in charge of the activities of one tribe. Richard Racer, Jimmy Wayland, and Dickie Walker were notch-cutters for the three tribes. Margie Dodson was cheerleader for tribe-two.
Tiny Gentry was awarded a bird book by virtue of bringing in, over the week’s period, the largest number of nature specimens.
Dickie Walker exhibited superior skill in the swimming match Friday evening, and piled up several points for his tribe. Hill Walker, Jimmy Wayland, Richard Bucer, Carlyle Lea, and John Turner, and Lila Gentry and Paula t Miller also participated in the ? meet and were much- applauded for their swimming antics.
