I plan to take a vacation during the first week in . Astgust.
The 4-H program planning meeting was held Thursday afternoon. The leaders and junior leaders from each community met and selected their projects for 1953. Then they planned the demonstrations for each month. After the meeting the group participated in some camp cookery.
The girls from Belle Meade went for a swim and picnic at the Old Hickory Tea Room in Culpeper Saturday afternoon. This outing was ' ending event of their meal preparation this summer. The girls attending were Betty Sisk, Holly Updike, Rachel Deal and Arlene Jenkins.
The ladies of Huntly H.D. Club met with Mrs. Lewis Harrison to rebottom chairs. During the afternoon two chairs received new splint seats.
Mrs. Clarence Scott entertained the members of the Castleton H.D. Club Tuesday afternoon. The group was proud to have with them Mrs.\ J. T. Woodward and Mrs. Morgan. t Jhe members decided to have a picnic in August, with Mrs. Woodward.
