Improvements Planned
On “Old Hollow”
Plans are almost completed for launching a “drive’’ for the improvement of the “Old Hollow” swimming pool. For many years first one person and then another has commented to someone else on “how nice it would be if Old Hollow could be fixed up.” Well, now there are several persons interested enough to start pushing the idea along and to' support it with their donations and a few hours of their time.
Permission for the proposed improvements has been secured from the owners, Amos Frazier and the Trustees of the Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist Church who are most kind and generous and who attach no strings to persons using the pool who conduct themselves with decency and reverent respect for the church and nearby property owners. The specific regulations will be posted on the grounds near the pool and persons disregarding them will be denied the use of the pool and will be reported for disturbing the peace. ..
Specifically, the regulations will require that:
1. No one will use the pool during the hours of the church services at either of the two near-by churches nor during the time Baptismals are being conducted at the pool. ,
2. No drinking and no intoxicat
