METROLOGY
Metrology is the science of measuring dry and liquid substances. Some potent drugs which are healthful in one quantity are dangerous in another. The difference between these quantities—a difference often of life and death—must be measured on apparatus so sensitive that it is glass-enclosed to keep it freeof dust which might affect the validity of the measurement. The measurement must be read by a skilled metrologist —your pharmacist.
