SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC HELD AT DAVIS’S LAKE
On Wednesday, July 23 at 5 p.m., the Washington Baptist Sunday School held its annual picnic at Davis Lake. A large crowd was present and enjoyed the swimming and boat rides. The food was donated by the members of the Sunday School. After the picnic was over a sum of $6.44 was left, which was presented to the l uilding committee to he applied to building of the Sunday School rooms.
BRIDGE PARTY
The Flint Hill Bridge Club met with Mrs. David Corbin Monday night. Those playing wrere Mrs. Lock Bui-ford, Mrs. R. L. Massie, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. M. R. Bradford Jr., Miss Minnie Williams, Mrs. Claude Cook, Mrs. E. R. Browning, Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. W. A. Moore, Mrs. Johnnie McGehee, Mrs. Brue Wood, Mrs. Charles Wood, Mrs. William Gilbert, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Earl Edmonds and Mrs. G. W. Smith Jr. Mrs. Edmonds won high score prize, Mrs. Russell won traveling and Mrs. Miller won consolation. After the game a delightful salad course was served by the hostess.
