New Trophy Added
To Warreoton Horse Show
The Warrenton Horse Show, to be held over the Labor Day week end, wiU present a new class this year. This class, in the Green Hunter Division, is the Alex Calvert Perpetual Memorial Trophy. The challenge trophy is donated by the many friends and admirers of the late Alex CalverL A prominent.Virginia horseman, Mr. Calvert was past president and closely connected .with this show for many years. »
In the 53rd Hunter Show of America, you will see many of your past favorites. Among its entries will be horses working toward the coveted title, Champion Three Year Old of Virginia. This award was won last -year by “Top Over”, owned' byShawnee Farm, Harrodsbtirg, Kentucky. The Reserve Championship was awarded to "Strawberry Fox”, then owned by Mrs. James Ha mi Hon of Warrenton. It is interesting to note that “Strawberry Fox” later went to The Garden to capture the Greew Hunter Championship, which he also won in Warrenton. One of
