Mrs. Maury Brown spent several days last week in Richmond to be near her husband, Mr. Brown, who underwent a minor operation on Tuesday from ^hich he is reported to be recovering satisfactorily. On Sunday Mrs. Brown and daughter, Mrs. Maurice Shirey, Mrs. Elizaleth Thomas and Miss Hilda Ritenour and* Charles Brown vjsffed Mr. Brown.
Allen Brown has received his discharge from the U. S. Army at Fort Eustis and returned home with his mother on Sunday. Guests Saturday in the Brown home were Mrs. Maurice Shirey, Mrs. Thomas and Miss Ritenour of Front Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore and their s*», Edward spent Sunday at the Gore home in Culpeper. ,*
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cloud and family and Mr. and Mrs. Tasker Woodward visited Mr. and Mrs. John R. Jenkins and sons of Indian Head, Maryland on Sunday.
Miss Pauline Jenkins returned to her home after spending a month with her sister and brother of Baltimore, Maryland.
Miss Irene Jenkins is spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walters and Mr. and Mrs. James Chesgreen of Laurel, Maryland. .
