from now till the end of October in building up dairy farm feed supplies. Every dairyman should garner under roof as much forage as possible for his own needs and for possible sales. No doubt by more>* careful feeding and milking practices some inefficient low producing cows could be culled from the herd without reducing the herd’s total milk output. Also, remember that all Virginia dairy farmers have not suffered the same degree of damage from the drouth. Therefore, it would seem very proper and highly desirable if those who have mroe hay than they need would notify the county agent so that the hay might be sold to some less fortunate Virginia dairyman.
