AVON MILLS CONCERT

After the many showers of the week, the sun shone forth Sunday, August 10, as though it were smiling on the lovely occasion of a concert at Avon Mills.
William Haaker was there, and at his best in a piano recital. His technique was perfect, $he result of hard (work and his interpretation showed the God-given soul of the musician. ' * Mr. Haaker’s varied selections in his programs delight us. I mention especially his playing of Mozart’s Sonata in A-<Major. It was graceful and altogether charmjfag. He gave a colorful interpretation of his own composition. La Bamba
