JOINT BIBLE SCHOOL
A joint vacation Bible School conducted by, Rev. A. Paul Thompson and Rev. Norman Flythe began on Monday mornong witljf classes in both churches each morning from 9-11 a.m. The enrollmertt was between 40 and 50 with rpore to enter possibly. The teachers are Mrs. H. H. Aylor Jr., Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. Annie Perry Jenkins for the beginners and Primary grades. Mrs. James Atkins and Mrs. T. J. Pillar instructs the more advanced groups.
SCHOOL OPEN& SEPT. 2; 3 TEACHERS MISSING
County schools will open for the students on September 2, Tuesday after Labor Day. Teachers report a week earlier for their meetings.
Three teachers are not yet appointed for the county high school. An athletic coach has been secured, but since he has not signed his contract, it is not official that he will be a faculty member. The other two vacancies in the high school are a Latin teacher and a teacher for home economics.
