certificates ot recognition were awarded to: the Flint Hill National Bank, the Rappahannock National Bank, the Homp Demonstrations Clubs and the Rappahannock News. These certificates expressed the appreciation of the 4-H’ers for the “help and support” of these organizations.
County volunteer leaders were recognized for their part in making this an outstanding year in 4-H work.
The Sperryville III 4-H club won a party as an award for having the largest percentage of 4-H members, parents and friends at —the Achievement Day Program. —
Representative exhibits of each club were displayed in the auditorium. .These exhibits showed the work of each of the clubs during the year aS: the number of members, the projects completed by the 4-H’ers, camp activities and project demonstrations. The Washington club’s exhibit was selected as the best by judges Miss Nora Dillon, Miss Betty Jane Blagg and Mrs. John Pearman. Other clubs having exhibits were Reager -Flint Hill, Sperryville I and II, Sperryville III and Belle Meade.
Ivory Atkins placed first among the Sears Pig winner with Eddie Sutphin coming in second, Charles Leake, th'rd and Glen Updike.
