BIG DRIVE ON BY THE
G W C H S. BAND FOR
NEW UNIFORMS
The Carver High School Band, under the direction of Mr. Elmer F. Sampson, is putting on the biggest drive in its history. The band is going all out to get 75 new uniforms, which are veiy much needed. The first step that was taken to raise money was a series of concerts in the four counties, that Carver serves. The concerts netted a total o^ $438.00 in pledges which the parents of the four counties have promised to give by the end of February. The concerts were very successful and were well received; Madison County having the largest attendance of the four counties. The parents of Madison county also gave a .square dance and supper with the proceeds to be turned over to the Carver band. “I’m very proud and happy over the 'way the parents have co-operated in this big undertaking, says Mr. Sampson, “I’m almost sure this will be our most successful drive for a band that deserves the best that we can give them.”
