Checking stations in Rappahannock County will be established at Payne’s Garage, Washington; Rector’s Store, Flint Hill; Jenkins’ Garage, Amissville; Burke’s Store, Woodville; Green’s Store, _Slate Mills; and Nethers’ Esso Service, Sperryville.
The main purpose of the new regulations which are in force in— most of the States, are to aid in law enforcement and as a means of making a check of the annual kill to assist in regulating the size of the herds. 3 The season is open on all game Saturday, November 20, except on wild turkeys. (The season opened west of the Blue Ridge on Monday, November 15) The bag limits are as follows: quail, 8 a day, 125 a season; rabbits, 6 a day, 75 a season; grouse, 3 a day^ 15 a season; pheasant, 4 a day, 20 a season; 1 deer a season with antlers visible above the hair.
