RAPP’K HUNTERS FELL DEER, WEST OF BLUE RIDGE
Several Rappahannock sportsmen took advantage of the early opening of the hunting season west of the Blue Ridge and have already felled their one deer.
Franklin Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne of Washington, killed a 150-pound nine-point buck last Monday while with a hunting party near Strasburg.
Franklin Settle of Washington felled a 127-pound deer and Herbert Foster also of Washington shot a deer fn the DickieRidge Orchard, (in Warren County) owned by John R. DeBergh and W. F. Moffett.
