Mrs. Kitty W. Huff of Washington, D. C. and friends, Pat Smith and Duke Slight of Los Angeles, California were Sunday guests of her brother and sister-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. George Wood.

Miss Paula Miller and Miss Rachael Many were Friday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid.

Mrs. James Early of Madison was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid. Friday morning she called on Mrs. George Settle and* Miss Kate Walker at their home near Flint Hill and visited Mrs. M. R^Bradford and Mrs. James Settle for a short while. In Washington she called, on Mrs. Morgan Johnston.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Ramey and Mrs. Ida Golden of Slate Mills.

Mrs. Rosa Bishop and Mrs. Susie Pullen were supper guests on Sunday of Mrs. Nora Kendall.

Mr. and Mrs. William Groves and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Utz of Remington were guests last Wednesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Sisk.

On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins and family, Mrs. Jonas Alther, Jr. and daughter and Miss Catherine Lillard spent the day shopping in Winchester and Front Royal.
