Second Time

School Burglarized

For the second time this school session, the Rappahannock High School has been burglarized. When Mr. Alvin Atkins reported for work Wednesday morning, he discovered the break-in. Entry to the building was made through the rear door into the auditorium. From there the vandals broke the small glass panes in three other doors and forced open three steel doors to get into a supply room and the principal’s office.

Among supplies stolen, as well as could be ascertained, vyere 6 quart cans of government meat and gravy; 5 No. 10 cans of string beans; 4 No. 10 cans of peas; 25 pounds of hamburger and 15 pounds of butter. Approximately $18 in cash, bills and silver was also taken. ^

To date the case has not been solved, although G. I. Johnson oi the State Police Force and his trained dog “Echo” were called tc investigate. Trooper W. A. Buntin and Sheriff C. K. Estes were also investigating.

The police dog was trained at headquarters in Richmond to work exclusively with Trooper Johnson.
