Heart Sunday volunteers in many communities through out Virginia will visit their neighbors Heart Sunday Week End, Thursiday through Sunday, February 22-25, to receive their contributions to the Heart Fund.

Donations will be used to con- j tinue the fight against diseases of -the heart and blood vessels. This fight is being waged in research laboratories at the Medical College of Virginia and at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and elsewhere in the United States. The battle is being waged also through the distribution of research findings to physicians and nurses and through the distribution of heart education materials to students and the general public. It is being waged through community services which are helping heart victims return to as near their accustomed place in society as possible:

The Heart Sunday Week End volunteers will distribute leaflets which contain heart-saving facts. At the same time, they will giveHeart Sunday envelopes in which’ residents can seal a gift to strike a blow at the diseases which take more lives than the next five causes combined.

Where the volunteers finds no one at home, he or she will leave-, a pre-addressed mail-in envelope/ in which a contribution may be sent to Heart Fund headquarters:.
