three or more combined units are bought at one time there will be a reduction in price of 50 cents per unit, or the home extinguisher will cost $10.50 each, and the truck and tractor extinguisher will cost $11.00 each. In comparison, a large national mailorder house with a Philadelphia warehouse sells a 4:B-C fire extinguisher for $10.60, and another large national mail-order chain with a Baltimore warehouse sells a 4:B-C fire extinguisher for $10.48, both prices delivered in Rappahannock. Thus, the WVFD will sell you a fire extinguisher with 50 per cent greater extinguishing ability at approximately the same price or even less.
The refilling of this extinguisher can easily be accomplished by its owner. The WVFD will always stock the refill kits, and they will sell for $3.00 each. Using the same two national mail-order houses as price comparisons, one sells the refill for $2.66 and the other for $4.43. And remember, their unit is only 2/3’s effective compared to the unit which will be sold by the WVFD.
