Casanova Hunt
Races Open Season
The Casanova Hunt will officially usher in the spring hunt lacing season in Northern Virgil^ Saturday at Spring Hill Farm, near Casanova.
The six-race card was filled with ! some outstanding horses, including two of last year’s winners, and several of the East’s leading trainers will be represented.
Biggest field is indicated for the Spring Hill, open race, for gentlemen. Capt. J. L. B. Bentley’s Russ, a consistent winner over hurdles at the major tracks, will be contending for honors with R. S. Reynolds’ Poilu and Ken Dallam’s Harkimell, both Virginia Gold Cup starters.
Mike Smithwick will ride Mrs. William C. Riker’s Lofty Line and Orville Mooney will have the mount on Mrs. Robert H. Crompton Ill’s Red Lion Mike.
