The Reverend Clyde Franklin Melton, for the past six years Minister of the Calvary Baptist Church, Richmond, has accepted the Pastorate of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church and the F. T. Baptist Church.
Mr. Melton, a North Carolina native, came to this 1100 membership church from Louisiana, where he had held a pastorate. Since coming to Richmond, Mr. Melton has served on the Richmond Baptist Executive Board and also on the Board of Directors of the Baptist Home for Girls, and various other denominational committees. He has been a popular counselor, not only for his own congregation, tiut also for rehabilitation groups and two Richmond physicians. Mr. Melton was educated at Wake Forest College, in North Carolina, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
