Illness
John Wallace'Critzer of Wash-1 ington, Va., died early Tuesday! morning, February 20 at Newton D. Baker Hospital, Martinsburg, W. Va. where he had been a patient for several weeks following an accident in which he was severely burned.
He was Sheriff of Rappahannock County for eleven years, retiring January 15 of this year. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Critzer was bom June 2, 1893 in Nelson County.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Robbie Heterick Critzer, who he married in 1920; one son, Wallace H. Critzer. Both are of Washington, Va.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Teel Robinson of Avon, Va.; and a brother, Jack Critzer.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday, February 22 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Luray. Rev. Dahney J. Carr, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, will officiate.
Pallbearers are Gibson Wharton, Rayner Snead, C. J. Miller, D. D. Miller, Jr., W. C. Camp.bell and Guy Burke.
The body rests at Bradley Funeral Home, Luray, Va.
