Mias Harriet Watson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watson of Roanoke was a Labor Day week end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy. Saturday Misses Betty and Jean Kennedy of Arlington, and their house guest, Miss Watson, Robert Kennedy of Washington, D. C. and Charles Kennedy spent the day at Colonial Beach. Miss Watson returned to Roanoke Monday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Weakley spent Sunday in Culpeper with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lamb and family.
Edward Spencer of Culpeper and Edward Dorsey were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Torac of the Madison road.
W. Alton Brooks, of Philadelphia, Pa. antirfl. X. Peterson of Washington, D. C. arrived' Saturday at their summer home here to spend three weeks.
Private first class Charles H. Jenkins, who is stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. returned home September for a 14 day furlough with his Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jenkins. Saturday guests at the Dick Jenkin’s were Mrs. Mamie Leak and grandchildren Gregg and Connie Whorton of Woodville, Mrs. Addie Sisk and Mrs. Evelyn Mac Intyre of Silver Springs, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines and son Johnny.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jenkins gave a birthday party in honor of their three children Charlotte of Culpeper, P.F.C. Charles H. Jenkins of Fort Sill and Linda at home. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Jenkins and Nancy and Mr.
