Tapp-Tapp *
The Grace Methodist Church, Manassas, was the scene Tuesday afternoon, September 4, at four o’clock of the wedding of Mrs. Mary Louise Tapp of Amissville and Maddox Griffin Tapp of Front Royal.
The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin F. Martin and widow of the late Edward G. Tapp of Amissville. Mr. Tapp is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Marion Tapp of Amissville.
Rev. W. E. Barber, pastor of the Church, performed the ceremony before an altar arrangement of palms, white flowers and altar candles.
Miss Betty Lee Jenkins, organist, gave a program of wedding music preceding the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Dudley J. Martin, of Manassas, the bride wore a street length dress of French blue chiffon and lace over taffeta with white accessories and carried a white Bible, topped with a white orchid and stephanotis, tied with white ribbon streamers in lovers knots.
Her only ornament was a single strand of cultured pearls, a gift of the bridegroom.
The bride’s matron of honor and only attendant, Mrs. John Tapp, wore a dress of pink dacron and lace with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations.
