Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Stewart H. Butler helped with an engagement party for Miss Diane Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Long of Charlottesville. Miss Long plans to be married in February. Mrs. Butler has several paintings entered a the Culpeper Art Fair of Sept. 15.
Yager Hawkins is at the Warrenton Nursing home and will be glad to see anyone who can call on him.

Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Butler <?f Culpeper were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Frank Butler. Sunday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hawkins of Washington, D. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Thornhill and family.
James Butler returned to the University of Va. Hospital on Monday for a check up. Mrs. J. B. Burke accompanied her brother to Charlottesville.
