Topples Into Creek

A load of ready-mix concrete overturned Monday in the lane entrance at the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fauz6 near Woodville.

The driver of the truck, owned by Culpeper Constructors CreteMix, apparently cut too short and missed the bridge at the entranced While he went to call a wrecker, the bank gave way and the truck toppled over into the creek. After local wreckers were unable to pull the truck out ,a large crane was called from Winchester.

Bridge Club Meets

With Mrs. Flynt

Mrs. Elmo Flynt entertained the Sperryville bridge club Friday evening at her home near Rock Mills. Those playing were Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Patzig, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. I. 0. Wolf, Mrs. V. E. Goddard, Mrs. Allen Stokes, Mrs. A. H. Keyser, Mrs. Fred Schaefer and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Patzig and Mrs. Reeve at the conclusion of the game.
