Once again the halls of RCHS echo with the shuffling of 638 feet, 319 voices, and the clanging of many locker doors. Last week marked the beginning of a new school year and look what else is NEW—
1. Mr. Atwood, a very nice English teacher with a cute accent and understanding for his students.
2. Dictionaries (more of them), to be put in the study i halls where they’ll be more convenient to students.
3. Handbooks, which give us information on student behavior, curriculum, club requirements and rules, dress regulations and much other vital information on many subjects. The handbook was edited last year by Barney Pause and the SCA.
4. Coach for girls basketball— WHO? ? ?
5. Driver Education course to be taught as part of the phys ed program. -
6. Annual editor and staff to publish another beautiful issue of The Rappsody. Betty Kay Kilby heads the staff this year.
7. Class of sophisticated seniors to reign during the ’62-’63 term. Looks like a promising year, doesn’t it?
Classes seem more crowded than ever this year. Teachers are finding it difficult to keep the size of them down to a teachable level.
