Ann Jenkins Elected
Chi Sigma Treasurer
At its first meeting Chi Sigma Youth Group elected as its new treasurer Ann Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Jenkins of Washington. Other officers will be elected at a subsequent meeting.
Last Sunday night Chi Sigma presented a program on youth’s search for self-identity amidst the pressures of growing up in a rapidly changing world. The members discussed the issues shown in a 16-panel exhibit, ‘*So Here We Are.” These concerned (1) the tough job of learning how to get along with others, (2) what happens when you are alone, (8) the pull to early marriage, (4) decisions about vocations, (6) conformity, (6) space exploration, and (7) the cold |war. •„ „
The next meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Washington Baptist Church. The group will plan a party for the next Sunday. All 9th through 12th graders are invited.
