Section 8. LOST TAGS: A duplicate tin or tag shall be issued upon affidavit of the applicant that the original tin or tag has been lost. The charge for a duplicate tin or tag shall be Fifty (0.50) Cents.
Section 9. PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES: No vehicle taxable under this Ordinance shall be locally licensed unless and until the'applicant for such license shall have produced before the said Treasurer, or such agent, satisfactory evidence that all personal property taxes upon the vehicle to be licensed Rave been paid, which personal property taxes have been assessed or are assessable against such applicant.
Section 10. EXEMPTIONS: Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed to require a license tax of a person, firm or corporation, exempted under the provisions of the laws of the State of Virginia.
Section 11. RECORDS: The County Treasurer shall keep a record of each such license tag issued by him, showing the number of such tag, the person to whom it was issued, the make, model, and engine number of the vehicle for which such tag is issued, and the State license number of such vehicle.
Section 12. OFFENSE: No person, corporation, firm or partnership, resident or non-resident, shall:
a. Operate or permit a motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer controlled by such person, corporation, firm or partnership to be operated upon the streets, highways, or roads within said County which does not have attached thereto and displayed thereon the proper Rappahannock County license plate or plates as required by this Ordinance.
b. Display, cause or permit to be displayed or to have in possession any Rappahannock County license plate, knowing the to be fictiticfcis or to have been cancelled or altered.
c. Lend 6r knowingly permit the use of one not entitled thereto, of any Rappahannock County license plate.
Section 12.1. It shall be unlawful for any owner of a motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer, to display upon such motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer, any Rappahannock Countv license plate after the expiration date of such license plate.
