Escaped Convict Caught

Leroy K. Harding: escaped from a convict road grangr Sept. 7 about 3 p.m. while working: on Rte. 600 in Schwartz Hollow above Old Hollow Church near the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Estes, Sperryville. Harding: had been convicted of statutory burglary in Hastings Court, City of Portsmouth, Va. on May 31,1962 and given a sentence of ltt years.

He was apprehended nearby the same night by Troopers W. A. Buntin and G. I. Johnson and Echo, state police German Shepherd dog.

Troopers Buntin and Johnson will share the reward for capture of the escapee.

A preliminary hearing for Harding is slated, fortomorrow. :
