Will Hold Hymn Sing
!"• The Shiloh Baptist Association, composed of forty Southern Baptist church^ in Culpeper, Rappahannock, Madison, Orange and Greene counties, will hold a Hymn sing on Sunday afternoon, September 23, at 3 o’clock at Bethel Baptist Church. This church is located at the junction of routes 29 and 609. Rev. Edison Cleland is the pastor. The theme for the hymn sing is ‘“0 Come, Let Us Worship,” and congregational singing will be featured. This program is open to all denominations, and everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Religious Cantata
The thirty voice Culpeper Baptist Church Choir will present Hallelujah! What A Saviour, Friday, Sept. 21st at the Washington Baptist Church. The cantata is a musical presentation of the Victorious Savior. ;This inspiring composition by John W. .Pederson is complemented by an excellent church choir which will use six soloists during the cantata. The public is invited to share in this worship experience.
Amis.viDe WSCS Meets With 18 Members Present
The WSCS of the Amissville Methodist Church held its September meeting at the church with 18 members present. The program was “ What Missions Mean To Me.” Refreshments were served by hostesses Mrs. Susie Hitt and Mrs. Bertha Riley.
For the next meeting each of the members is asked to bring a new member. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month. The October meeting is to be held at the church.
