"But friendly words are a

delight to Him”

(Proverbs 15:26B Moffatt)

The other day I clipped from a bulletin the following paragraph entitled “Strange People": “People who talk about prayer, but never pray. People who say tithing is right, but never tithe. People who wish to belong to the church but never support or attend church. People who say the Bible is God’s Word to man, but never read it.

“People who say that eternity is more important than time, but who live for the present life. People who criticize others for things they do themselves. People who stay away from church for trivial reasons and then sing ‘O, How I Love Jesus'.

“People who serve the devil all their lives but expect to go to heaven. What a strange people!”

Such “strange” people weaken the Christian witness in every community around the world.

Jesus said, "Whoso heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock."

James said, "Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only."
