Annual Rose Show At
Franklin Oct. 10-11
The Franklin Garden Club will be host this year to the 26th annual Rose Show of the Garden Club of v Virginia. This event, which has been held each year since 1932 except during the wan will take place on October 10 and 11 at the Fellowship Hall of the Franklin Baptist Church. Schedules have mailed to all member clubs giving detailed descriptions of the classes. . Any amateur rose grower may exhibit, regardless of club membership or place of residence. There will, however, be two closed classes (for interclub exhibition and for rose test collections). Men are particularly urged to exhibit, as they have done in the past. Arrangements will represent many of the 43 clubs on the roster of the Garden Club of Virginia, and there will be individual arrangements in three categories, plus a class for professionals. All entries must be registered by October 3, 1962, with Mrs. C. A. Cutchins, III, Box 447, Franklin, Virginia.
Entries will be accepted from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on October 9, and from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on October 10. The show will be open to the public from 3 to 9 p.m. on
