The Madison Center qf the School of General Studies, University of Virginia announces that evening and day courses for adults of the five-county area will be offered in the areas of pro-* fessional education, commerce, art, Interior decoration, . drafting, and mathematics during the Spring 1963 semester. All courses will meet once a week. In professional education, Education 137* Memtal Tests will be given in the evenings at. the Center. This course will deal with the construction and interpre-1 <atinn of-memtal-tester and; will offer both graduate and: undergraduate credit. Business personnel and all others Interested in gaining knowledge of accounting procedures will find Commerce E-l: Elementary Accounting of great Interest. This course is the introductory course in accounting and deals with theory and practice of accounting. It will be held in the evenings at the Center. Two non-credit courses in art will be held during the day. Mrs. Dorothy Skelton will Instruct an introductory course in drawing and watercolor. Pencil, pen, charcoal, pastels, and brush drawing will be presented, and will , lead to a study of watercolor and Japanese suml painting. Mrs. Florence Pugh will conduct a painting course for students who have had! previous training in art.
