A two-car collision occurred Januar y 26 at 7:45 p.m. a mile arid a half east of Sperryville on Rt. 211. Earl W. Nicholson of Sulpeper, in a 1955 Ford sedan, stopped in the traffic lane without lights when his battery went dead. He was struck from the rear by Harmon E. Rangell of Bayside, N. Y. in a 1962 Plymouth owned by Great American Lease, Inc. of Great Neck, Long Island, N. Y. Mrs. Edith Nicholson of Culpeper sustained a back injury but was not treated at the time, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. He reported that Rangell had lacerations of the forehea'd and an injured left knee. Rangell was treated by Dr. John P. Snead IV, at his office in Sperryville and released. ■ Damages to the two vehicles amounted to $700 or $800.
