Mr. and Mrs. George Sabine and family of Damascus, Maryland were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Sabine’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers. Mr. and Mrs. George Baber Jr. of Arlington were weekend guests of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Norman Wilbur. On Saturday evening they attended the miscellaneous shower held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill honoring Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler of Arlington. Mrs. Butler was formerly Miss Patricia Burke. Several people from Boston and Slate Mills attended the auction sale at the home of Kenneth Tanner on Hill Street in Culpeper on Saturday. Mr. Tanner formerly lived in Slate Mills and managed a store there for many years.
