Culpeper Art Fair
Two Rappahannock 1 a d lea and a gentleman from Alexandria who weekends here were ribbon winners in the Culpeper Art Fair last Saturday. ■■■•■ Mrs. Elmo Flynt who lives on the Rock Mills road below Flat Woods sold her watercolor “Golden Iris” and her third place ribbon winner in the Fantasy Class entitled “Clown". She also won a ribbon in the adult class for oils for a painting entitled Factory. Her weekend neighbor Richard Curry of Alexandria placed third, for his oil, "Packing Shed”. y Mrs. Stewart H. Butler of Slate Mills won an honorable mention for her oil, Picnic Morning depicting her grandchildren starting off on a-you know what. » Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Flynt are members of the Culpeper Art Group who sponsored the Fair. They have been painting with the group for some time
