The 27th Annual Rose Show of the Garden Club of Virginia will be held at The Marinere j Museum in Newport News on • Oct. 9-10. Sponsor lor the two-day event is the Huntington Garden Club. • The Show, which will attract rose enthusiasts, from all . parts of the state, is being held on the Peninsula for the first time since 1947, the one previous time the event has been held here. The Rose Show will be open to the public at no charge from 3 to 9 p.m. bn Oct. y, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 10. ’ , h All amateur rose growers are eligible to enter their best specimens.
