The third group is the staff out at Philmont; especially Jerry Thatcher, the ranger who was with us the first 3 days of our hike. He did a fine job and we thank hitn very much. Also Dan Shea and Woodslore Willey should be thanked for their kindness while we were at Black Mountain.
Virginia City
Virginia City is the name we gave to the new campsite which we built at Black Mountain. We gave the name to the campsite in true respect to the great state in which we live. This campsite is also dedicated to the Shenandoah Area Council, of which we all are a part. Praise ought to be given to all the boys and 'leaders who helped build this campsite - Without them this wonderful
