Park Color Peak

Prediction Oct 10*20

While signs of fall are becoming more apparent with changing colors along the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, all indications are that the peak of the annual display will not v^y from an earlier prediction of a period betweenOctober 10 and 20, according to Park Superintendent R. Taylor Hoskins. Cool nights in the Blue Ridge Mountains during 'the past week led observers to look possibly for a peak during the weekend of October 12-13. While cool weather has continued, there is no reason at this time to vary from the dates indicated above, Hoskins said. As has been pointed out in earlier information, visitors to the Park during the next two weekends should see an increasing array of color variation.
