Attorney T. Carlyle Lea appeared before the supervisors and presented a final plat of Manassas Investigators subdivision known as Rappahannock Mountain Estates, near Amissville. The plat was aproved. ' Capt. L. B. Stuart of Amiss ville was re-appointed to the Planning Commission for a four-year term. The Chairman of the Board read letters from the State Compensation Board in regard to salary increases granted the Sheriff and Commissioner of Revenue by the!944>session of the General Assembly of Virginia. The Board requested the chairman to reply to the Compensation Board stating displeasure and requested that copies of the letter be sent to Delegate Frost and Sen. Aldhizer.
With the enactment of this legislation, the salary of the Commissioner of Revenue was increased $200 and that of the Sheriff $300. a year. These salaries are fixed according to population. Before the meeting adjourned, current bills were approved and paid from the general fund. All members of the Board were present for the meeting.
