The some 1700 employees of the Potomac Edison System this month set a citation-win- £ nins safety record by completing one million continuous man-hours worked without a lost-time accident. As a result, the utility will be awarded a special safety citation from the Edison Electric Institute, the industries national organization of electric companies. > In making the announcement of the new safe-working record, utility company executive vice-president C. D. Lyon congratulated all the employees for, “proving that the job can be accomplished while keeping safety uppermost" and for "giving all of the satisfaction of knowing that no fellow-employee has suffered an Injury to himself."
