Mrs. A. C. Latham entertained with a buffet dinner at her home in AmiaavlUe on Sunday evening in honor of the birthdays of C. A. Smith, Wendell Latham, F. L. Bowey and Mrs. W. L. Payne. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. C. A.„ Smith*! Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Bowey, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy, Wendell Latham, Mrs. Norvel James, Mrs. J. L. Walter and house guest Mrs. Julia Curtis of Front Royal, and Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan Latham.

H. D. Club Organizes

At Chester Gap

Last Thursday night the ladies of the community met at the Fire Hall and organized a Home Demonstration Club. The following officers were elected: President, Maybelle Gllkey; Vice-president, Jessie Williams; Secretary, Minnie Williams; Treasurer, Mattie Williams; Reporter Iva Williams; Program Development Leader, Mrs. Irene Davis; Federation Chairman, Edna Williams. The meetings will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Fire Hall, at 7:50 p. m. All the ladles in the ylclnlty are Invited to attend. -
