I would like to take this means of thanking the nurses and personnel of Warren Memorial hospital, Drs. Cadden McCarty and McNeill, for mak ing my recent stay there a pleasant one. Also my friends and neighbors for their cards, visits and offers of help. Their kindness will long be remembered by me.

On July 5 Mrs. J. B. Burke and daughter Faye had as dinner guests Mrs. Frank Butler and son James and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler and daughter Carolyn Sue of Alexandria. Mr. and Mrs. John Jenkins and daughter Doris Lee and son John, Jr. were in Fredericksburg on Sunday to visit Mrs. Jenkins* father Fred Jenkins at the Riverside Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sparks and children spent a week recently visiting Mr. Spark’s mother Mrs. M. A. Sparks and several brothers and their families, Rex Sparks, Clyde Sparks and Ernest Sparks, all of Cedar Bluffs. Also Mrs. Sparks’ brother and sisterin-law Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson of Tazewell. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Sparks visited Mrs. Sparks' sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwell and son at Haymarket.
