Wet roads accounted for two traffic accidents in Rappaharv nock on Sunday, July 11, one involving a single vehicle and the second involving three ve hides, according to a report from Trooper Paul Dicks. At 3:45 p.m. on Route 211 near Ivy Hill Tea House, Ro bert Harvey Pruett of Wash ington, D. C. skidded on the wet pavement after passing another vehicle. His 1964 Dodge went off the right of the highway into a stream. Pruett sustained multiple lacerations of the head when he was thrown into the windsheild. He was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Rhonda Gale Pruett, 10, of Falls Church, a niece of the driver, received a broken left arm. She also was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Both were later transferred to a hospital "in the metropolitan area by Clore ambulance. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000. At 7 p.m. the same evening on Route 211 in front of Pine Knott Inn, James Roy of Flint Hill, driving a 54 Dodge, was heading toward Sperryville when he skidded on the wet road.
