Transporting bees is a fairly simple operation provided everything works as planned. The beekeeper closes the hive entrance at night after the bees have returned from the field. Hive bodies are stapled together for the move and are loaded in stacks on the trucks. Now bees are important for agriculture for pollinating crops. Research at Texas A & M University shows that seed production from clover can be increased seven-fold when bees are used to pollinate it. Farmers who grow clovers and alfalfa for seed for example, welcome the migratory beekeepers to their farms. But it isn't all hot biscuits and honey for the beekeeper.
