Effective July l, 1965, telephone long distance charges between Sperryville and Culpeper will be eliminated, according to C & L Manager, A. T. Reed. Affected in this area will be calls from Sperryville tot Culpeper, and Culpeper to! Sperryville. The new service will extend to approximately 21,500 people in these exchanges with 6,600 phones, according to Mr. Reed. All calls placed from Sperryville to Culpeper will be placed on a local call basis after July 1, 1965. Mr. Reed said all customers in these exchanges will receive dialing instructions in the mail by; June 30, 1965.
